Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American photojournalist and journalist who has been covering the natural and military disasters of more than 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of those living in these regions. Curry was a reporter in war zones like Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. In the role of an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregon, she started her career in broadcasting. She was the first female journalist for the station at was just 22. After that, she moved onto becoming an anchor and reporter at KGW KGW, which was an NBC affiliate station located in Portland. In the course of four years, she was appointed an anchor by KCBS TV which is located in Los Angeles. She was awarded the award of two Emmy Awards during the six years that she worked for this station.
